Research Interests
Juan Carlos Morales’ research lines are focused on stellar astrophysics and exoplanets. Particularly, I am interested in the determination of the fundamental properties of stars (their masses and radii) using eclipsing binary systems. These properties can be later compared with theoretical models to understand the structure and evolution of stars. In the context of exoplanets, I am involved in several projects to look for exoplanets and characterize their properties by means of the radial velocity and the transits methods.
